Hi, I'm Derek Christie, a professional photographer based just outside Edinburgh. I specialising in modern, contemporary reportage Wedding Photography. I love reportage wedding photography as I can tell the story of your day through stunning photographs so you can re-live the day as it happened without constant posing or direction. This means that often I melt into the crowd to capture those cherished and emotional moments when you and your guests being themselves and enjoying the day.

The story of your day begins with the Bridal preparations (if required) and ends with everyone having a great time at your reception. I will photograph the celebration beyond the first dances to capture the fun and excitement of your Wedding reception. During your Wedding day I will be as unobtrusive as possible for most of the day, only directing where necessary for the formal group photographs when required.

Feeling comfortable with your Photographer is paramount and that is why all couples that book with Derek Christie Photography receive a free Engagement Session to help you get used to having your photographs taken. It's a fun hour or so of photography where we can get to know each other and have a bit of fun in the process. All of the photographs from the Engagement Session are provided on a CD for you to enjoy, free of charge.

I cover the whole of the country including, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, The Borders, The Lothians, Stirling, Livingston and Fife.
