Natasha & Donald
Natasha & Donald's wedding at The Byre at Inchyra was the first wedding I'd ever shot there. It is a stunning venue however and my only regret is that I've not shot a wedding their sooner. Just a beautiful place.
I was really looking forward to the day as not only is the venue stunning, the engagement shoot with Natasha and Donald was brilliant. I was ready to call off as it was absolutely teeming down but they were totally up for it and it was fantastic. Got some great shots down at Yellowcraigs with the rain pouring down.
I arrived as the girls were adding the finishing touches for bridal prep and tying the laces at the back of Natasha's dress. She looked stunning! The boys arrived a few moments later so I took the opportunity to get a few shots of the guys as they chatted and greeted the guests.
Fiona Flanagan of Independent Humanist Ceremonies, conducted a beautiful ceremony, as always. The bride and groom tied the knot under a floral arch decorated by White House Flowers. It's such a lovely location for an outdoor wedding ceremony.
After the big group shot their was time to mingle with the guests. It's always important to me that the bride and groom enjoy the day and don't feel they are going kept from their guests so this part of the day is all about getting candid shots of the fun and emotion of the day.
Natasha & Donald were great in front of the camera, really makes my job very easy indeed. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the guys holding the bride for a photo but they who ask shall receive and I duly obliged. It was hilarious though. Almost in slow motion.... Natasha slipped from their grasp and fell to the ground. There was shock at first but once Natasha was almost back on her feet, she was in fits of laughter..... relief all round!
One of the best weddings of 2016!
