Your wedding is your story, and however you choose to celebrate it, the photography should feel like a natural part of the day - never a distraction.
My job is to work alongside you, your venue and your suppliers so everything flows naturally, allowing you to enjoy every moment without feeling like you're constantly being photographed.
For most of the day, I'll quietly blend into the background, capturing the laughter, hugs, happy tears and all the little moments that often pass by unnoticed. When I need to step in, I'll do it with confidence - organising the confetti, bringing everyone together for family photographs and making sure everything runs smoothly before disappearing back into the background.
We'll plan everything together before the wedding, so on the day there's no disappearing for hours or feeling like you're spending more time posing than celebrating. My approach is simple: beautiful photographs, plenty of time with your guests and a wedding day that still feels like your wedding.
THE WAY I WORK
Having photographed more than 800 weddings since 2009, I understand how to work calmly within the rhythm of a wedding day without ever taking it over. Many of the venues and planners I work with regularly recommend me because they know I’ll fit seamlessly into the atmosphere you’ve worked so hard to create. Most couples tell me they’re nervous about being photographed before the wedding.
From the very beginning, my approach is built around helping the day flow naturally while quietly documenting everything as it happens. I’ll blend into the background during the candid moments, but step in confidently when needed — whether that’ s organising family photographs, guiding confetti, or keeping things running smoothly alongside your venue team.
The reality is that very little of the day is spent “posing.” I’ll give gentle direction when needed, but the focus is always on genuine moments, real interactions, and allowing you to stay present with the people around you.
For weddings within 2.5 hours of Edinburgh, travel is included. I also photograph destination weddings and can create bespoke collections for celebrations further afield.
FINALISING PLANS
Closer to the wedding, we I’ll arrange a final planning chat to walk through timings, logistics, family photographs, and anything important to you, ensuring everything feels relaxed and effortless on the day itself.
